Eliza is a mindfulness instructor, birth educator and antenatal yoga teacher. Having graduated from Oxford with a Masters in European Politics, Eliza initially worked for the Civil Service and as a lobbyist. She decided not to go back to Westminster having had children and retrained at the Oxford Mindfulness Centre, as well as with Janet Balaskas and the Birthlight Trust. She now teaches both privately and with the NHS. Eliza is passionate about the perinatal mental health and wellbeing of parents, both women and men. “Becoming and being a parent can be very stressful but we don’t pay a lot of attention to this area of our lives. Mindfulness can help us to cope with the stresses and strains of pregnancy, birthing and parenting as well as to tune into the joy of having children.” Eliza would love to live in the Highlands but lives in Oxford with her husband, Tom, and their three sons.
