The National Osteoporosis Society have produced some recent new guidelines which are fantastic in considering safe, effective as well as personalised exercise options for those with Osteoporosis. It is estimated that 1 in 3 women and 1 in 5 men will suffer osteoporotic fractures in their lifetime, identifying the benefit of safe guidelines.

In summary, the guidelines explain the benefit of the following:

  • weight bearing and impact exercise
  • building muscle
  • improving balance
  • managing pain
  • improving posture and movements.
