Ahmet Begde

Physiotherapist

Ahmet is a Chartered Physiotherapist and Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Oxford. He holds a BSc in Physiotherapy with First Class Honours, a Master’s degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Nottingham, and a PhD from Loughborough University, where he specialised in exercise training for ageing-related musculoskeletal problems linked to balance and movement.

Ahmet has worked in a multidisciplinary rehabilitation hospital, treating a wide range of conditions from acute injuries to chronic spinal, shoulder, and joint problems. His approach combines manual therapy, tailored exercise prescription, gait and movement analysis, and functional rehabilitation to help patients return to full activity while reducing the risk of recurrence.

He also has expertise in neurological rehabilitation, particularly for people with dementia, stroke and Parkinson’s disease. His work in this area focuses on gait re-education, balance training, and fall prevention, using evidence-based and personalised exercise programmes.
